elections in my country today. i'm apolitical so i didn't vote. but apparently there was record voter turnout this year. there were protests during the last two years, but there was no coherent message, just some vague dissatisfaction with the "system" and butthurt that one chud guy keeps winning and staying in power for over 12 years. i'm so completely detached from my country that i'm looking at this like a foreigner.

I propose an economy based on subsidies: everyone receives $2500 monthly, then you get an additional reward if you produce something useful for society.
