A recurring thing I see is people finding out about the h3h3 drama but not havin known about the show and all scratching their heads asking "why do people watch this?" And the answer is that it is basically a friend simulator. A joke your friend makes is worse than a joke a comedian makes but it's funnier because it's your friend, and these people can sink in and kind of have the illusion that these are their friends.
The exception is cum town which is a friend simulator and funny but even cum town is full of boring conversation and some unfunny jokes in between the good stuff but you are there to trick your brain into feeling a sense of company
