normies on xitter are discussing whether they'd shoot the tiger to save the autistic man. some are saying that human life is valuable no matter what, some are saying it's natural selection.

there's this weird thing about stupidity. if you're kind of stupid, people will call you stupid and shit on you and blame you for shit going wrong. but if you're MEGA stupid i.e. autistic and retarded, you're disabled so it's kind of no longer socially appropriate to blame your being stupid.

the tiger and the autistic man is the modern day trolley problem. what would you do wizzie?
i actually don't know. i want to feel bad for the autistic man, but i somehow can't. i have trouble empathizing with extremely stupid or evil individuals. i can't get into that headspace.

I CAN empathise because I consider myself extremely retarded and autistic

i could empathize with someone like gooker. like, i can see where he's coming from when he shares some half-baked thought and identify the error which is usually just not thinking for long enough. but this autistic man that jumped into the enclosure... i just don't get it man. was he really that stupid that he thought he could pet the tiger? even if on a conceptual level he didn't understand, i feel like there would still be some baseline instinctual fear stopping him from doing something like that. it makes NO SENSE.

can you figure out where he was coming from? what was his goal? what he hoped to achieve?

even if he was stupid, that doesn't make him irrational. there should still be some inkling of human reasoning, even if the reason is stupid, it should be something that could occur to a person with normal intellectual capacity but that could be easily dismissed as dangerous and stupid. then i could understand, he had this IDEA which could happen to anyone, but didn't have the capacity to calculate the consequences etc.

we prioritise people over animals so even if its a retard the animal would still be shot

interestingly, this time they didn't. they only gave warning shots, they could've shot the tiger, but in the end they decided to let the retard die. wonder if they would've saved him if he was a BIPOC and not white.
