at risk of sounding like a stereotypical turboconservative, UBI does not give freedom, it imposes a duty on those who work to donate to those who by choice do not work. And the fewer people who accept that duty, the more odious it is as more parasites hang onto those few who work.

Society is based on industry. All things we get are generally the result of human labor. By demanding UBI or any government benefit, you demand that those who do work be enslaved to those who do not. The government can print money, but it cannot print value, it cannot print bread or cars or gasolene. And every dollar it prints and injects into the economy is a tax on everyone who holds cash, as it dilutes the supply.

I don't want to come across as a libertarian advocating for 'muh freedumb n sheet' but you're delusional if you believe what you posted.
