maybe lower your standards, lad? there's tech jobs, it's just not all VC funded crypto shite you're used to that pays 200k/year + benefits.

I've been through it me lad, the HR filter basically filters you if you are a sperg, will make you do video interviews where you talk to yourself which the autist fails because he cannot act out like he is talking to a person who isn't fucking there while they have their HR blurb about being friendly to neurodivergent people etc.

I mean I kinda get it, you don't want someone to be totally socially inept and it can be a sign of other problems but those video interviews where you talk to yourself are LAME pretty sure I fucked mine up badly and it was a timed thing I think you could only resubmit once. Also the several roles where you gotta talk to the HR STACY over the phone who sounds like she has the ICK talking to you when she hears how neuroretarded you are and the autist struggles without the face to face

I ended up finding a job in the end, where I was interviewed by my actual coworkers and not the HR NORM layer and impressed them.

I have done two hiring panels though...it's very hard hiring people because like most of the applicants don't even read the requirements and you can tell what is very cut and paste and generic and increasingly even stuff that looks like AI, and oddly enough there are very few native people it's overwhelmingly immigrants with overseas degrees that I can't tell how legit they are. You find the ones that you give the benefit of the doubt to then they get to interview and its kinda not great

And when I say the applications are bad I'm not being harsh I mean like the average or nearly all applications are full of spelling errors, we will ask something like "please in your cover letter say the code and title of the job you are applying for" and they don't even do that, don't address the key points of the job and how they fit etc.

It's not anything to do with that. The way I used to find jobs was to build stand-out projects that I could show around to engineers. That approach no longer works because every possible hiring funnel is now clogged by a million engineers. I've seen jobs open and an hour later there's already 100 applications. The only way to get a tech job now is to have a network and I never had a network. Tech is now only for normies and hustlers. I think ill end up having to quit this career. But I have no other way to make money.

Yours might be the best resume but some HR stacy is probably filtering you out somehow and arshdeep and ranjeet and their "engineering" degrees from overseas are drowning you out they even just claim they have tons of experience and know all these things then they get to the interview and don't seem to know anything. Even worse Stacy is probably using an AI filter or something

But your saying that is not the problem, so If the engineers and not HR are seeing your work and still not hiring you then IDK then

yep, exactly right. i dont know what im meant to do now. im running out of the motivation to keep searching. ive been doing it off-an-on for a while now, and my hope is almost gone.
