i think juries shouldn't be allowed to discuss the case together. each one should come to their own conclusion, based on their own interpretation and their own understanding of what happened. the lindsay clancy trial showed that 11 people will gang up on the one holdout and most people aren't able to take that kind of pressure. some people will go with the crowd even if they believe differently because they want to go back home earlier. it should be a blind vote.

this would lead to more mistrials, because it would be harder to get a unanimous judgement tho. still, when the guilt is obvious, it's obvious. when it's not, then the prosecution should work harder.
