Breaking it down into steps and attacking it strategically is exactly what you seem to think your the rapist is going to do.
Honestly I think you're taking yourself too seriously. I could probably spin up some argument about my personal trauma, and honestly if you're anywhere close to average I probably have a better justification for depression and so called tauma than you do. Maybe I am traumatized and depressed, but so what. I get out and do things and no one is the wiser lol. Life's too short to mope around like that. Every year you're 'working through things' or 'in therapy' is probably more than a percent of your life basically wasted, and probably more than 5% of your 'prime'. Don't do that you bozo!

And when you are horribly depressed in the dream and you wake up and you still feel it and it takes awhile for it to go away

>just go do things
i don't think you understand therapy tho. the whole problem is that i can't do things because of my mental illness. getting to the bottom of the root causes is how you fix it. i guess i could go outside and do "exposure" but without deeper insight into the problem, i'm just re-traumatizing myself and uploading more cringe memories into my brain (this has been my experience the last 15+ years).
this isn't some coding problem or practical know-how that you can break down into steps, it's like saying solve this millenium problem, just do it!!!!! okay i'm pumped up, but that doesn't do anything for my understanding of the problem and how to tackle it.

fwiw If I were to try to go at this, I'd try to give it that context, try to digest it into themes/problems, and then tell it to research the apparent problems and then after all that go to the 'ask me questions and give me advice' stage.
the more I think about it though the more I feel like this is not a good way to solve your problems. Just go do things be cool and productive not a looser making a mental masturbation machine which is probably what this will be.

i actually did manage to get it to understand my avoidance issues quite well but it just fails to give me novel approaches or tools. it can give you associations or summarize existing information, but it still can't invent anything truly new that isn't in some way described in its data. it's also kind of biased by things i've talked to it in the past so if i had a chat about xyz approach, it's more likely to suggest it just because of that. i guess i'm asking for too much, basically to solve therapy and find the holy grail of psychological transformation but that doesn't exist and probably never will.

i think if i had money to throw at this, i'd probably use Obsidian to store personal journal entries, introspection logs, dreams, goals, etc. like a full description of me as a person, and then have it use that as context and every therapy session would create new insights and include them in the context, until i am cured ^_^

Not that I think its going to give you great advice or insights, I'd reccomend trying to setup some different way of interacting; compaction of context goes a long way imho at least for programming and surely for this also. I'm not sure how the chatgpt online interface handles this.

chatgpt was always useless to me. when i used claude it gave me the best answer possible. here's a template you can use based on what i sent claude:
with this template it might be able to find you hidden routes to solving your problems or resources you might not be aware of.

hello claude,
im finding it hard to do TASKS in my daily life. i have the following MISSING psychological states, and i feel BURDENED states instead. im already on MEDICATIONS and im diagnosed with DISORDERS.
my lifestyle consists of LIFESTYLE, my diet consists of DIET, i abuse any of the following DRUGS (were relevant), and my interactions with people are [...] (talk about friends, partners, social activities where relevant.)
practically speaking, where would i start to fix this. keep in mind its hard to get access to a psychiatrist due to REASONS.
