^ so the reason why mana is structured like this is the sock puppet problem. basically, since the cost of creating the users is 0, anyone can create thousands of identities to acquire mana and then create self-referential networks to increase their mana. so it was necessary to harden the system so it wouldnt be gameable. an incentive system that anyone can just attack wouldnt be very fun. so this is structured to provide rewards for long-term posters, taking into account established identities.

^ that's how it works already, but there's a weighting system for the identities to increase rewards depending on their age. theres more math to it than that but it starts out slow and gets easier. going to add more ways to earn it too.
