kinda just sick of my life. i tried hard for 10 years straight and made a lot of money. then the jews replaced all my skills, crashed my industry, and made me unemployed. this destroyed my motivation because its just like: why try at anything. we're all just going to get replaced. no one gives a fuck, the world keeps getting worse. even if i wanted to keep trying i dont have the energy

it was no easy to get this good at tech. ive been doing this almost every day since i was a teenager. abusing caffeine to read books, spending thousands of hours trying out different ideas, now im meant to drop all of it and start again. i cant even go outside without anxiety. the normies just keep making it harder to succeed. all that will be left now is manual labour. spergs and mentally ill people like me are never going to work again.

I don't remember where I saw it but the stats for people not being able to find jobs after education/uni is becoming shocking. It used to just be low IQ people losing the jobs and they could be easily fooled by politicians that they would "get the jobs back just vote for me goy" it's different this time, I think they will have no choice but to to implement UBI to be electable.

even phds are fucked now. i feel so sorry for them. and the ais are ripping off their research too.

when i started tech my industry was good enough for me to find roles even before the covid surge. so its like: i am not doing anything wrong. my industry has only matured and all the companies i respected are still around. now it doesnt matter what i do.

id love to see UBI. realistically though i am probably going to need to go full schizo now to secure a future for myself. like planting crops so i dont starve. i know that sounds retarded but im mentally ill and the idea of surviving on hand outs in this market doesnt sound sustainable.

man snap out of this AI psychosis. AI isnt replacing experts anytime soon, they are just tools to help the experts extend their existing skills

I am running an AI that can dive into a new codebase and start doing real contributions to it in minutes. It basically has several programming languages memorized, as well as a ton of associated libraries. It can work all day and all night. Anyone with reasonable logical ability can direct it and crank out adequate software faster than I can type. I'm not sure the logic is even required, strictly speaking, for many tasks.

I'm not going to say that the job of the computer programmer is over, but things are going to change a lot. If its a forcemultiplier for the compotent, and it is, are there still going to be the same number of programmer jobs in +5 years as today?

Candidates interviewed per technical hire rose 52%.

Fewer openings, more competition, fewer interviews, lower compensation. Apparently the market is fine.

I've applied to hundreds if not 1000s of jobs. Stop blaming people for the market being shit. If you have a job be lucky you have it.

Did you get any interviews? Maybe you are applying to ghost jobs or something. If someone is seriously looking for an applicant and you have the experience then there is no reason for them to not give you a shot.

Would you relocate to Sydney or Melbourne to get a better shot at jobs? Brisbane? Chadelaide?

probably but the thing is living in both those places is expensive as fuck. so its like: move to a city where id be poor earning 100k... or still be poor without having to move and not having to work. its not like im getting interviews for local roles either. the market isnt any better any were you look.

sure there is the fact that huge numbers of people apply to every listing and its hard to seperate the wheat from the chaff. I know engineers who've been on the hunt for jobs for months. My advice to everyone is pursue personal connections, the job market is a terrible pain.
