in the same episode we also have Ed fucking Sheeran having a cameo, while Arya Stark is just eating rabbit and bantering with these Lannister soldiers. they really wanted to show "oy vey, they not all bad, they just following orders, innit". it's literally the first episode of season 7 and it's dogshit, full of filler scenes like this. the Hound finds the family he robbed a couple seasons ago, dead by suicide because they went hungry. this is typical cliche tv bullshit that GRRM would never write in the books.

op i also felt nauseated in that sequence and thought it was unnecessary. so disgusting.
