I don't understand why euthanasia is not legal everywhere, it is so bad to wait involuntary death, imagine having stage 4 cancer and waiting for one of your artery to explode

it's a slippery slope

I was gonna get annoying and political but I restrained myself.

The interesting thing is that the BIble does not actually say much about suicide, I think at least one character does suicide and there are references to it being better to kill yourself than commit certain sins. But nowhere does it explicitly say it's a sin, but Christians have generally interpreted suicide as counting as murder and being a sin that way. So that is one big reason especially as most people have been religious historically, but religion has been in decline. It's still very odd to me that the Bible would not have a take on suicide though considering it's a bunch of tales and writings meant to guide us and suicide is such a big thing, I kinda wanna look into this and do some research.

On a human level, we are afraid of our loved ones killing themselves and depriving us of them. You could call this uncaring and selfish, but they would probably argue that they think things can get better etc. there is also

the slippery slope argument that people would get pressured or encouraged into suicide. You gotta remember there are a lot of norms that haven't ever experienced true despair and hopelessness so they simply don't understand it. Euthanasia is definitely progressing in legality though in several countries like Canada, Australia, Europe, I think most people at least have sympathy for euthanasia for people with painful diseases.

it's just christcucks and conservacucks being angry that we're not a life cult that forces people to live no matter what. if voluntary euthanasia was on the table, yes, more people would kill themselves instead of fighting, but that's a good thing. i wouldn't even wait for cancer diagnosis before choosing to opt out lmao
